ABOUT MOHF

MASTER OF HEALING FOUNDATION

The Master of Healing Foundation (MoHF) was established in August 2011. It was formed after the realization that gay and lesbian people are not given the necessary attention needed, and moreover the realization of the excluding of this particular group of society in Lesotho.

Most often, society has chosen to ignore their existence or to even treat them badly only because of their sexuality. Because of that, the foundation engages for the equality of lesbians, gay men, bisexual-, trans- and intersex people as well as for the liberation from all forms of discrimination.

To promote an observance of human rights and to generate a world where LGBTI people can live free and in harmony within the society, we have to fight for the elimination of all forms of discrimination and the change of the law, according national and international human rights.

In addition, the organization is not only focusing on promotion of the rights of LGBTI people, it also focuses on the well-being of this population group through empowering them to sustain their livelihood.

For any society to succeed, for the economic and social development of any country, all its citizens deserve fair and equal treatment. In Sesotho we believe “Kaofela re chabana sa Khomo” meaning we are one people. As MoHF we strongly believe this hence the inclusion of non LGBTI people in our mission to foster change and acceptance.
